MetService have this morning upgraded the incoming wind storm heading to Canterbury to a red warning, indicating widespread damage is to be expected as a result of the winds up to 160km/h.
With this being the case, it’s likely customers on our wireless-based services may experience disruption to service, either caused by damage to our network towers, or by introducing misalignment of our wireless equipment.
Rest assured our networks team are monitoring the situation closely and once safe to do so, will make plans for any remediation required from Monday.
