Customers may have experienced a brief outage of under 20 seconds at 13:37 today due to a fibre cut to our Christchurch handover PoP, causing an automatic failover to one of our backup paths.
This backup path won’t have any service impact on customers, however once the primary fibre path has been repaired and restored, there will be another brief outage of under 20 seconds while the link switches back and client PPPoE re-establishes.
